Warriors defang Vipers in four sets

Santa Cruz, LAGUNA -

Maroon Warriors ended the rally with a four sets victory over Green Vipers, 28-30, 26-24, 21-25, 25-22 on Wednesday February 1 in the women's volleyball championship at Monserrat Covered Court.

Marivic Santos joined forces with teammates Jecah Angel Dorado, Krisha Joy DeLeon and Ayra Mae Alao in fashioning out the win.

Santos, later named the Finals MVP, finished with a game-high 16 points, while fellow Mythical team members Dorado, De Leon, and Alao provided ample help on the offensive end for the Maroon Warriors.

Maroon Warriors had a solid performace in the first two sets. The confidence of the team grew larger after finding a hole in Vipers defense.

Cabantog kept on fighting for Vipers, while Cabusura gave the Vipers an 24-21 lead. A service aces from Cabantog helped the Vipers to overcome Maroon Warriors in the third set.

An excellent attacks from Santos was followed by a Vipers errors while De Leon spike for the last point made the warriors finished the game and celebrated their triumph.
