Blue Wolves rule SportFest '17
Santa Cruz, LAGUNA - Blue Wolves snatched 2017 Sport festival championship as they dragged down the five other teams in basketball, men’s volleyball, badminton, chess and billiards.
Wolves reigned the court after crushing the undefeated Black Mamba in the finals with the team captain and the MVP’s lead, Aldwin Carpio. It was a tight championship for the both teams yet the Wolves closed the game in 80-78.
After defeating the Mamba’s team, the blue owned the Men’s volleyball.
Echo Vizcarra and Daniel Magpily smashed their way to victory as they pocketed the gold medals in badminton doubles, male category.
In chess, Kim Oliver Arganosa and Maiden Gutierrez dominated and bagged the first place in Bracket A. While in billiard singles, John Paul Advento topped.
Indoor games were held at AMA Senior High school building from January 31- February 2 except for the DOTA competition that was conducted at the AMA Main Building’s OEd Laboratory.
Ball games were held at the New Patimbao Gym and Montserrat Gym, Jan. 30 - Feb.3.
Furthermore, it was the first Sportfest conducted by AMA Santa Cruz that included their senior high school students and each team played well and was satisfied for their finish. The Yellow Lions placed third and the Black Mamba snagged the second place.
