AMA-SCL opens Sports Fest ‘17
Santa Cruz, LAGUNA - AMA Santa Cruz united, coloring the New Patimbao gym with blue, maroon, white, black, yellow and green shirts and banners as it welcomed Sport Festival 2017 last January 30.
Afterwards, the formal opening started with a prayer led by Jamlech Iram Gojo Cruz while the National Anthem and the school's hymn were sang by Liza Angelica Pila.
This was followed by the welcome remarks from one of the instructors of AMA Senior High School Mr. Christian Val Waay highlighting the quote, “This sports festival is the venue for searching a fighting fit athlete”. Subsequently, arter the opening remarks AGOS (Awit, Galaw, Obra at Sayaw) performed their prepared intermission numbers.
Looking ahead, the search for Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest 2017 started off with a parade of the color-coded teams' muses and escorts, Angel Algarne represented the Yellow Lions alongside Kraemon Joshua who's wearing their team's basketball jersey. Right after them, Angel Canlas and Calvin Sarmiento marched to represent the White Fangs with outstanding. Next were the Black Mambas' Alexandra Mainit and Ian Valles who represented their team by wearing the sportswear of boxing and tennis wear. Holding a golf club and wearing golf player attire, Matelyn Oarga marched on beside her basketball player partner Brix Claudel to represent the Maroon Warriors. Then, Blue Wolves' muse and escort, Reynalene Paral and Razzel Javier, walked on as to represent their team. Lastly, the Green Vipers' muse Danilyn Kyla Maulawin wore badminton player attire along with the basketball player escort, Christian Cristobal, splendidly marched on for their team.
After all, the blue wolves got the title for the Sports fest muse and escort ‘17 and crowd started to roar when the most awaited basketball game finally began.
