AMA Pride faces Awarding Ceremony
The day had come for the awarding of the exceptional students of AMA Computer College. AMAers once again proved that they have the talent on different fields by showcasing their skills in sports, indoors and outdoors, January 30 to February 3, 2017.
Ms. Rachel Pagtananan and Mr. Christian Waay led the announcing of the winners for each tournament of the said event just after the championship of the basketball match of the Blue Wolves and the Black Mamba.
For the basketball tournament, the Yellow Lions got the 3rd place followed by the Black Mamba, 2nd placer, and the Blue Wolves bagging the 1st place of the game. The Blue Wolves once again make a move after winning the volleyball game for male and the Maroon Warriors takes the place for the female edition. Green Vipers’ Pamela Grace Samson and Yellow Lions’ Diane Wolfert ranks first on the badminton singles for the girls and White Fangs’ Brince Orijuela and Lenard Cruz, also from the white team ranks first on the badminton singles for the boys. For the badminton doubles, the Yellow Lions’ Eunice Castillo and Hania Leron ranks first on girls and Blue Wolves’ Echo Vizcarra and Daniel Magpily ranks for the boys edition. Meanwhile on the table tennis tournament, Josh Lucena and Ivan Galleros, both from the Yellow Lions tops the game singles for the male and Mary Kristine Miras, also from the Yellow Lions takes the place for the female. Maroon Warriors’ Obed Pacurib and Selwyn Ortega keeps the rank for the table tennis doubles. On chess, Blue Wolves’ Maiden Gutierrez and Black Mamba’s Michaela Pascual both tops the girl’s bracket while Blue Wolves’ Kim Oliver Arganosa and Yellow Lions’ Andrei Zaide both tops the boy’s bracket. Blue Wolves’ John Paul Advento ranks 1st on the billiards singles while Maroon Warriors’ Denielle Trinidad and Patrick Delos Reyes ranks on the doubles. For the game dart, Rolando Paulme of the Green Vipers tops. The White Fangs however tops the DOTA 2 tournament.
All in all, winning places from different sports categories, the Blue Wolves bring home the bacon for ranking 1st on the overall championship, followed by the Black Mamba; 2nd, and the Yellow Lions; 3rd.
With the help of the teachers, student council, and the school administration, the entire program was said to be successful with the closing of the awarding ceremony.
Furthermore, sportsmanship was shown throughout the event and the students were looking forward for the next sportsfest to happen.
